The Kogi East Forum of Supervisory Councillors (2021–2023) has joined other sympathisers in mourning the demise of the father of the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo.

In a condolence message made available to pressmen, the Chairperson of the Forum, Chief (Hon.) Alima G. Abuh, described the late patriarch as “a pillar of wisdom and a source of inspiration, whose counsel and exemplary life touched many within and outside Kogi State.”

Chief Alima, speaking on behalf of the forum members, noted that the death was a painful loss, not just to the governor and his family but to the entire people of Kogi State.

“We commiserate with His Excellency, Governor Usman Ododo, and the entire Ododo family at this trying time. Our prayers are with them, and we ask the Almighty Allah to grant the departed Aljanat Firdaus and give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” the statement read in part.

The Forum urged the governor and his family to find solace in the impactful life lived by their father and patriarch, adding that his legacies would continue to speak for him.

The late Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo, a distinguished statesman, revered community pillar, and devout adherent of the Islamic faith, peacefully departed this life last week at the age of 83.
