Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi state on Tuesday flagged off the re-construction of 7.2 kilometre roads in Idah town.
The township roads slated for rehabilitation are; Igalaogba — Angwa — Inachalo Junction, Sabongari — St Boniface — Ega market Junction, St Michael — Ukwaja — St Peter’s road and Ukwaja Junction — Attah — Idah Club road.

Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo thanked the people of Kogi East for their support for his administration.
He expressed his readiness to fulfill all his electioneering promises to the people of the State.
The governor also eulogized the former Governor of Kogi State, Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello for laying the foundation of all the developmental activities Kogi is witnessing today.


He also expressed his gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for all his supports that are making the people of the state to be happy always.
The governor said the road construction projects are meant to significantly improve the state’s infrastructure, enhance transportation, and boost economic activities in Idah and its environs.
“This flag off is going to stimulate the economic activities of this place.
“On behalf of the people of Kogi State and my entire team, I flag off the reconstruction of internal roads of Idah Local Government Area to the glory of God Almighty and to the benefit of mankind,” he said.
Addressing journalists after the flag off, the Managing Director of Kogi State Road Maintenance Agency (KOGROMA), Engr. Yunusa Alhassan thanked Governor Ododo for his commitment to the development of infrastructure in Kogi State.
He also assured the people of Idah Local Government that the job would be executed in accordance with the specifications within the timeframe stipulated.
The project is part of the state government’s efforts to promote development and improve the quality of life of citizens.
