Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has appointed the immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello (a.k.a Abdul Dollar), as Commissioner.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, who disclosed that Bello’s appointment is subject to screening and confirmation by the Kogi State House of Assembly.
Governor Ododo also redeployed Barrister Salami Ozigi Deedat from the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to take charge of the Ministry of Works.
This followed the recent resignation of the erstwhile Commissioner for Works, Engr. Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf.
Governor Ododo, while acknowledging the contributions of the outgoing Commissioner, commended Engr. Yusuf for his meritorious service and wished him success in his future endeavours.
