Gov. Bello’s Relationship With Security Agents is Cordial – Achuba

The Acting Governor of Kogi State, Elder Simon Achuba has lauded the cordial relationship that existed between Governor Yahaya Bello of the state and the security agents, saying such cooperation has put the state above others in terms of improved security situation.

Achuba, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Akor Sylvester, gave the commendation at the visit of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army College of Logistics who were in kogi state on industrial study.
The Acting Governor said the present administration of the state led by Governor Yahaya Bello has invested much on security, maintaining that such priority given to the security has greatly helped the people in their day to day activities in the state.
He said that the total freedom of movement that is experienced in the state today, attested to the fact that the government was sensitive to the security of the people.
The Acting Governor therefore urged the security agents across the state to  sustain the tempo, saying the state Governor deserved the award of the ” Best Governor on security ” he recently received from the leadership of the police force.
Achuba used the forum to express his worry over the state of Ajaokuta Steel Company, saying that, the company when put to use, would turn a lot of things around for good in the country.
He called on relevant stakeholders to join hands with federal government and Kogi state to fix the company, maintaining that the company has the capacity to manufacture a lot of goods for the country.
On the question raised on power, the Acting Governor said plans were underway for the state to start generating power on its own even as he solicited the cooperation of the people in order to achieve the feat.
On his part, the Chief of staff to the Governor, Edward Onoja said the record of achievement of Governor Yahaya Bello led administration has attracted investors to the state, saying more would be achieved with the support of the people.
Speaking earlier, the leader of the team, Major General Richard Duru said the team was in the state to visit all the companies in the state and do a study on them, stating that the state government would be briefed at the end of the tour.
