A leader is one who has the courage to dream, the ability to organise and the strength to execute the actions necessary. A leader is simply one who knows where he/she want to go, and gets up and goes.
His excellency Alh Yahaya Bello, the executive governor of Kogi state, it is my utmost joy to witness your birthday and i am glad you are in sound mind as you mark this great day.
You see, just as you have taken this mantle with its great responsibility as a governor of Kogi state, in the same manner have I taken the trust with my Ministry of Celebration, and it will amount to injustice to skip your birthday without an elaborate celebration like I did on to others.
Your Excellency, I have come to celebrate you in truth and in so doing, I beg of you to simultaneously follow me as I take advantage of your birthday to lay bare to your audience, certain issues of pressing nature.
Vision creates power, the enthusiasm that comes from vision results in dynamic power. This then leads to greater productivity, and feelings of productivity increase your feelings of self-esteem. Enthusiasm is produced from vision and power from enthusiasm is the energy that drives every successful idea.
Your Excellency, there is no doubt your government was founded with a vision but the question is how far into actualization has this vision gone?
Why is our state still wallowing in abject poverty?
Why is this administration you preside over still stuck with issues unpaid salaries and pensions?
What is happening to our roads? The potholes and deterioration are becoming bolder.
Why are our communities still suffering for portable water?
Why are our hospitals still the same state of mockery?
Your Excellency, whenever I do a critique on your administration, I do not do this out of hate, but to draw your attention to vital issues that are capable of burying all that is left of your good name in the mud. Whatsoever the vision of this New Direction administration is, I can tell its not working for the masses but for a selected few whose ambitions and business are only in siphoning public funds.
Your Excellency, it has often proved difficult to exempt from the maladministration of your government as it is seen that you are the leader of your pack and as such, everything bulks at your table. So we can’t shake this table without throwing your plates and glass cups away.
However, if only you take the bold step of purging yourself of these bad eggs bedeviling your progress wheel. Yes, if only you could expose and expunge these appointees who by means of Local Government treasury have enriched themselves beyond measure, building houses, petrol stations, buying fleets of exotic cars and living large at the expense of the poor masses. Your commissioners and SAs are not left out. They steal and popularise themselves at the detriment of government.
Great vision comes from being quiet, still, often alone. every leader need to spend time in solitude and reflection. We live in a crazy world. Find yourself some place of quietness, take solitude and search your soul.
The termite of good governance is in your wagon, doing everything possible to render this government hopeless and portray you as unfit and unskillful leader and only in your moment of reflection you can discover them…but i can also help you out if you wish.
Your Excellency, run this software with me in your system (mind), your vision for a great kogi state will die if you allow your vision to escape from you and with this men around you. To keep the vision alive is to put all your team members on check not minding the music they play into your ears. Your government is besuffered by incompetence and corruption, wake up before your name is written with black ink in an black book of failure
Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in celebrating my Governor his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State.
I pray to God Almighty to bless with the soundness of mind and the will to do the needful as you meditate on your journey so far.
Happy Birthday Your Excellency.
Your dealing with governance will never be the same again.
