The Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello has donated the sum of Five Million naira and a coaster bus to the Anglican Communion, Dioceses of Ebiraland as the church celebrate their centenary anniversary in Okene.
The donation was made on behalf of the governor by the Administrator of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad who also donated the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira to the church on behalf of Okene Local Government.
The governor commended the Anglican Church for their peaceful conduct and contribution to educational development of Ebiraland.
The Anglican Church was established in Ebiraland in the year 1918 by a trader Pa Daniel Adebunu on the permission of then paramour ruler of Ebiraland, His Royal Majesty, Alh. Ibrahim Attah.
The Anglican Church build about twelve Primary Schools and a Secondary School, the Lennon Memorial College, Ageva as part of their contribution to education development of Ebiraland.
