Convener of GYB Pressure Group, Comrade Adams Babangida has endorsed Governor Yahaya Bello for second term in office.
Babangida made this known at recent event when he led members of the Okada Riders Initiative in Adavi to endorse Governor Yahaya Bello for second term.
Addressing newsmen after a closed-door meeting with the joint union executives, Babangida noted that Gov. Bello deserve a second term to enable him continue the “good work” he has started.
He stated that the governor has done so well for the youth and called on them to re-elect him on November 2nd.
“We here to endorse His Excellency, the governor of our great state, Alh Yahaya Bello, for his re-election. He has done so well. I stand here as a youth to say that he deserves a second term to push forward the good work he has started.
“I do believe in the legacy of the New Direction Agenda, and that’s why the GYB Pressure Group, Kogi Central is building on that legacy. The Governor has done so well. The youth now have their own in power, they have their own beliefs and they should understand that they have their rights in their own hands. They should follow what Mr Governor has started. The youth should come forward and believe in Mr Governor. Everybody should come out to vote for him.
“The future is for the youth. We need to stand up and look into the future, not just now. If we don’t settle down and take responsibility as youths and follow what Mr Governor has done, then what does out future hold?”
He said the group is a grassroots political organisation involved in youth development at the grassroots. He explained that the group has been involved in the propagation of government’s developmental policies and programmes in rural areas.
