Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has condoled the President, Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers and the Attah Igala, HRM Dr. Michael Idakwo Ameh-Oboni II over the death of one of the high chiefs of the Igala Kingdom, the Achadu-Attah, Chief Yusuf Ameh Adaji.
The Governor conveyed his condolences on Friday through a press statement released to journalists and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Onogwu Muhammed.
The statement said the Governor is deeply saddened by the death which he described as painful considering the significance of the office of the Achadu in the Igala Traditional Institution.
The Governor said the death of Achadu-Attah as a huge blow to the entire state and the country.
He described the deceased as a rare individual whose contributions to society were significant and consoled with loved ones and family while praying the Almighty God to grant him eternal rest.
“My deepest condolences to the Attah Igala, his council of Chiefs and the entire Igala kingdom. I pray the Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and to give the family fortitude to bear this huge loss. The people of the state and my government mourn,” he concluded.

Chief Yusuf Ameh-Adaji, a retired Assistant Commissioner of Police was born in 1938 in Ejule, Kogi State and is survived by his wife, many children and grandchildren.
