Gov Bello Condemns Attack on Ondo Worshippers, Calls for Improved Local Security

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has condemned the Sunday gruesome attack of some worshippers at the St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa Street, ondo state which have left many dead and others injured.

Governor Bello in a Press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu, expressed his sadness over the incidence calling on security operatives to expedite actions that would nab the perpetrators.

The Governor who described the attack as barbaric, heinous and sardonic sent his deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost loved ones in the incident, particularly the Catholic family and the entire Christian fold stating that only justice well served to those evil doers can succour the pain they felt.

He extended his commiseration to the government and people of Ondo state while he called for calm amongst the people in a bid to allow security operatives speed up delivering justice in adequate measure.

Governor Bello noted that the time has come to make more effective local security architecture in enhancing intelligence gathering and providing safety measures in areas that are rural.
