Kogi born socialist, writer and author, Kelvin Oluseyi Eleta has condemned men who find joy in treating and tagging their girlfriends as properties.

He took to the social media to engage young users insisting that “a woman is not a property and cannot be owned.”

Explaining further, Kelvin argued that “there is a difference between relationship and marriage. Some men get cocky in relationships and act like they have met Jesus before, especially those ones that loves impressing with material and useless flashy things.

“No woman or lady is your property. A lady is not an item to be owned by anyone. She has the right to stay or leave you at any moment; depending on how you treat her.

“Stop saying: ‘she’s my woman’. STOP IT! It is absolutely nonsensical. No woman is ‘your woman’. She could be your friend, companion, lover, gossip mate. There is always this huge void for her to be anything you want her to, still subject to how she’s been treated.

“The most annoying part is that some men still use the line; ‘can you be my woman?’ when asking a lady out. Hell no! She can’t be your woman, because she’s not a property or goods to be possessed by you. A woman is not a property and can’t be owned,” he submitted.

Kelvin is not new to controversy. Few months ago, the controversial writer hammerd on the act of nude exchange which got a loud ovation and was debated of Confluence Radio 94.1FM Lokoja Kogi State, anchored by Mr Ahammed Shaba, a reknown radio presenter and DJ.
