A Kogi based socio-political group, Ajaokuta Youth Forum has urged the Department of State Services (DSS) to get one Ankpa based self-acclaimed politician, Austin Okai arrested for causing nuisance and obstruction of peace in Kogi state.
The group, through her coordinator and spokesperson, Comrade James Mohammed alleged that Okai’s activities on social media are detrimental to the peaceful co-existence of Kogi people.
The group noted that Okai has on many occasion instigated Kogi people against the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello for no reason. Adding that Okai is sponsored by some enemies of the state to cause havoc and set the people against the incumbent government.
“Okai, the self acclaimed Coordinator of PDP Youth Frontiers is a devil in human form. He needs to be arrested as his actions on social media are capable of causing disunity in the state. Okai is been paid to instigate the people against Governor Yahaya Bello. All his accusations are false and baseless and they are capable of causing war in the state. The major function of the DSS is to maintain peace in the country. I therefore urged the DSS to do the needful by arresting Austin Okai with immediate effect”, James said.
The Group alleged that Okai on many occasion has committed treasonable offences and Libel on individuals especially Governor Yahaya Bello’s appointees.
“I don’t know why this guy is still moving around freely in the street. He should be arrested by now and charge to court for treason and libel. This guy on several occasion accused President Mohammed Buhari and his wife wrongly. He once came out propagating that Governor Yahaya Bello was having an affair with Aisha Buhari. He accused many government appointees of embezzlement of fund without concrete evidences. This guy must face the law as he failed to understand what treason and libel entails”
The group finally advocated that cyber crime should not be taking for granted, adding that it should be fully implemented especially in Kogi state to curb activities that are detrimental to peaceful co-existence of Kogi people and Nigerians at large.
