Kogi state government has concluded plans to compensate all property owners that are affected by the construction of Ganaja/Otokiti dual carriage bye-pass road project after their valuation. State commissioner for works, Hon Godwin Onamah, gave the charge at a meeting with property owners along the road in his office.
Hon. Onamah hinted that the present administration under the amiable leadership of His excellency, Captain Idris Wada iniated the road project in order to alleviate the daily and perennial gridlock along Ganaja junction/Ganaja village and Zone 8 road.
The commissioner disclosed that all properties along the road that have been marked and assessed will be compensated for, adding that Capt Wada in his magnanimity has approved the payment and called on them to get ready relevant documents on their properties that will facilitate the payment.
While responding, the properties owners commended the Hon Commissioner for communicating with them which according to them has helped to create a good relationship with them hence their pains and ill-feeling about the road have been reduced.
