The Liaison Officer 1 of Yagba – East Local Government area of Kogi State, Comrade Shola Adebola Gaddafi, has tasked security agencies to help curb the incessant cases of armed robbery in recent time in the council area.
Comrade Adebola made the appeal during a courtesy visit to all federal agencies within the local government area of the state.
He promised to extend financial assistance to all the federal agencies within the local government in order to boost their productivity.
During the visit, he tasked them to take seriously the insecurity challenges facing the area, especially the increasing armed robbery attacks on the Patigi road.
According to the L.O 1, who stressed that the robbery cases were becoming alarming and discouraging, lamented that the development was gradually affecting the town known for its commercial activities.
He enjoined the vigilance group to work assiduously with the regular security agencies to curp the ugly trend.
The federal agencies visited include the Police station, SSS, NSCDC, FRSC and the Vigilance group.
In a related development, the L.O 1 also task the LG workers to shun any act that runs contrary to the development of the council.
While promising to lead by example in term of prompt attendance to office duties, rule and ethics, he enjoyed them to cooperate with him and the newly posted DLG to move the local government forward
Responding, the NULGE chairman of the council promised to motivate the workers to work in tandem with the agenda of the L.O 1 towards actualising the purpose of his appointment.
