Gaddafi Moves Against Workers Who Demanded For Salaries

Two staff of Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State were queried last week by the management of the council for holding a peaceful rally demanding for payment of their salaries.

The local government staff, a Pastor from Ife-Olukotun and a Mallam from Okemeta in Isanlu reported rang bell round the local government premises last week Tuesday demanding for payment of their salaries.
This allegedly angered the Liaison Officer 1, Comrade Shola Adebola  who directed the management to of the council work on the file of the duo.
Meanwhile, KogiReports.com reliably gathered that the queries issued to these staff were answered by the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) executives.
A source within the council told our correspondent that the Pastor from Ife-Olukotun slumped sometimes ago while coming from work as a result of hunger and other pressures.
The peaceful rally, was planned by a large number of council staff  but only two had the courage to go ahead with the plan because they fear the LO.

At a meeting held at the premises of the local government council yesterday, staff insisted that if the LO is paying half salary, it must be that of May.
