Our attention has been drawn to some spurious misinformation by some desperate and faceless Kogites parading themselves as Media Aides to discredited personalities, who have been using some mushroom shadow news medium to tarnish the good image of the Kogi State Government.

It has become imperative to alert the public to the grand design of some politicians to use some money-for-value “Media Consultants” to feed the public with misinformation and malice-laden fallacious write-ups.

Kogi Team Builders makes bold to say that the last trip of the governor abroad was to attract investors into the state, especially in the sectors of Agriculture, Mines and Tourism. How a patriotic trip to better the lots of Kogites suddenly turn to a medical trip is an assault on the collective sensibilities of the Kogi people.

The promoter of this story has a track record of been a master of confusion and fallacies. While he was in Government House, he attempted to set the government against his present sponsors. He eventually got booted out over proven cases of embezzlement and Advance Fee Fraud. Ever since then, he has mounted a campaign of calumny against a government that is working for the advancement of the state.

The story of the death of two ex-workers of the old Kogi State Transport Corporation is a rape on logic and knowledge. Premium Times failed the simplest test of logic by failing to tell the world the names of the “deceased” and their locations.

We know the people behind the fictitious publications and their intention is clearly to fabricate unfounded lies to paint the Wada Administration bad. The story is false, unthinkable and unintelligent.

We urge the governor to concentrate on his service to the Kogi people as his opponents are jittery of his numerous achievements and are looking at ways of slowing him down. The media war against the governor confirms our earlier assertion that the opponents are jittery.

Their earlier claim was that the governor has not performed. But when they are faced with the avalanche of projects by the State Government, they changed gear into spreading of lies against the governor and his officials.

We cannot be slowed down and by the grace of God and the power of the Kogi people, the consolidation will continue beyond 2015.

Kogi people cannot forget in a hurry how an administration in this state sacked all the members of many families working in the Civil Service. The government of Capt. Idris Ichala Wada has refused to sack any worker despite the dwindling revenue accruing to the coffers of the State.

The situation would have been gloomier if the government didn’t save the funds flowing into ghost workers’ pockets in the past.

We the people of this state are solidly behind this government and will keep supporting its good programs and policies.

Thanks and God bless Kogi State.
