As a way of promoting and encouraging academic excellence amongst the less privileged students in Yagba Federal Constituency, Engr. Folorunsho Olafemi has pledged to assist secondary school students sitting for Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination this year.
Speaking with our correspondent on Saturday, Olafemi stated that he will be providing not less than seventy JAMB forms through the Folorunsho Olafemi Foundation, a non-governmental organization.
According to Engr. Olafemi, the JAMB slots will be shared across the three local government areas in Yagba Federal Constituency and it is basically for those who are in dire need to further their education but find it difficult to fund their academic aspirations.
He added that aside buying JAMB registration forms for deserving students, the Foundation has made provision for the establishment of free coaching centres across the three local government areas. These coaching centres, he said, will entertain not only immediate beneficiaries of the JAMB slotsbut will also accommodate other interested candidates who desire to tap from the knowledge of the professional lesson teachers who are specialists in various subjects as entertained by Joint Admission Matriculation Board.
Similarly, Folorunsho Olafemi, who hails from Mopamuro local government, gave assurance that the Foundation, in line with the fulfillment of its goals, will not abandon successful candidates at the end of the examination.
He stressed that the Foundation will ensure it gives sufficient encouragement to any of the fifty five candidates who successfully gain admission into tertiary institutions, stating clearly that the reward for excellence is more excellence.
Recall that in the month of December 2019, The Folorunsho Olafemi Foundation gave financial empowerment to no fewer than sixty women; widows and petty traders in Yagba Federal Constituency in order to help them boost their trades as well as give them hope that all will always be well with them.
Folorunsho has vowed that the foundation will stop at nothing at ensuring that it put smiles on the faces of humanity by touching lives positively, one at a time.
