The Kogi East Forum of Supervisory Councillors (2021–2023) has joined family, friends and well-wishers in offering prayers for the repose of the soul of the late Pa Yusuf Okala, father of the Kogi State Auditor-General, Alhaji Yakubu Yusuf Okala, as the family marks the 40-day fidau prayer today.
In a statement signed by its Chairperson, Chief Hon. Alima G. Abuh, the Forum described the late Okala as a devout Muslim, respected community leader and a man whose life was marked by discipline, faith and service to humanity.

“Baba was a man of rare integrity and humility, whose values of honesty and hard work are evident in the lives of his children and those he mentored. May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace,” the statement read.
The Forum prayed for God’s continued strength for the family and urged the younger generation to emulate the virtues of the departed elder statesman.
