Forum of Retired Clerks, Deputy Clerks laud Gov Ododo on Renovation of Assembly Complex

The Forum of Retired Clerks and Deputy Clerks of Kogi State House of Assembly has commended the state Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo for the renovation project executed on the Assembly Complex.

Chairman of the forum and former Clerk of the House, Alh Ibrahim Isah Amoka gave this commendation during a courtesy visit of the Forum on the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service of Kogi State House of Assembly, Alh Chogudo Sule Ahmed in his office.

The forum said that the renovation, no doubt, has placed Kogi state among states that could boast of good office accommodations for their legislative staff.

While congratulating the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service of the state Assembly, Alh Chogudo Sule Ahmed on his appointment as the new helmsman, the forum appreciated his efforts at repositioning the legislative service for greater productivity which has resulted into improved welfare for the staff.

It expressed renewed hope that the reforms in the Legislative Service Law started by the Clerk would continue to give greater opportunities and ensure career progressions for the staff members as well as make the Assembly to strive for excellence.

The forum appealed for a close administrative and legislative relationship with the management and the House members to bring about maximum benefits for all.

Responding, the Clerk and Head of Legislative Service, Kogi State House of Assembly, Alh Chogudo Ahmed Sule assured of cordial relationship even in their retirements.

Alh Chogudo appreciated the initiative for establishing the forum, saying it is a good one for retired staffers of the first arm of government which is the legislative.

He also appreciated the forum for paying him a visit, pointing out that those in service could still tap a lot from their wealth of experiences.

In a remark, the Deputy Clerk of the House, Ndagi Alfa Mohammed also appreciated the initiative in forming the forum, saying the forum would become an institution to be tapped from and expressed hope that there would be avenue for training of staff in which members of the forum would participate to train staff during their service to the state.

Members of the forum who were present are former Deputy Clerk of the House, Mr David Apeh, former Deputy Clerk Administration and General Service, Mr Martins Enimola, former Deputy Clerk Legislative Service, Hajia Lawal, former Deputy Clerk Legislative Service, Barr Ipinmida Ajinomo and former Deputy Clerk Legislative, Alh Jiya.

Also present were Secretary to Kogi State Assembly Service Commission, Mrs Yemisi Joan Olorunmaiye, Deputy Clerk of the House, Mr Ndagi Alfa Mohammed and Deputy Clerk Administration and General Service, Aka Adebayo Michael.
