Ahead of November governorship election, a former member of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Christopher Atule Okoche, who represented Ibaji Constituency for 8 years on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has defected to All Progressives Congress (APC).

Hon. Christopher Atule Okoche was former Caretaker Chairman Ibaji local government.

Okoche made this known at a stakeholders’ meeting of APC in Ibaji on Sunday.

The former lawmaker said his decision to join the APC was predicated on the giant strides recorded by the government of APC at the federal level and in Kogi State in particular.

Okoche said he had made consultations with his immediate constituents and will come at a given date with all his supporters into the APC.

He said there was no guarantee of victory for the PDP or any other party in Kogi State apart from the APC in the November 11 governorship polls.

Hon. Okoche is on record said never to have lost any election in Ibaji. His entrance into the APC has no doubt changed the political permutations.
