The Kogi State Governor Capt. Idris Wada has disclosed that his administration quest to attract investors would be complemented with measures aimed at protecting lives and investments.
Capt. Idris Wada gave the assurance when he received in audience Mr. Li Yong, Deputy Consular General, in the Chinese Embassy, Abuja.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Yomi Awoniyi, expressed satisfaction that Kogi State houses the largest community of Chinese residents in Nigeria, assured of government resolves to ensure safety of lives of people living in the state.
Capt. Idris Wada commended the Chinese government and the people for bringing development to third world and developing Economies, assured of the necessary support that will make the state habitable for investors.
Capt. Idris Wada lauded the level of assimilation of the Chinese community living in the state into the activities of communities they reside added that the state remains one of the peaceful, safe and secured states in the country that allows for businesses to thrive, assured that the state will intensify efforts to make it safer.
Earlier in his remarks, Mr Li Yong, Deputy Consular General, from the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, said the robust relationship existing between the Chinese and Nigeria Government is one that dates back several years.
Mr. Yong added that the Chinese have also had a long lasting business relationship with Kogi State Government, solicited the safety of lives of their citizens, whom he noted have respected and embraced the laws and customs of the people.
