The Nigeria National League, NNL will take Centre stage again on Wednesday across the country after a week break to allow for the state finals of FA Cup.
One of the interesting fixtures to look out for is a North-Central derby involving Mighty Jets FC of Jos and Kogi United FC of Lokoja.
Both sides have had a dismal start to the season as they are yet to taste victory in their last three league games.
The match billed for Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Wednesday affords both clubs opportunities to rediscover their forms and get back to positive notes.
Mighty Jets will have more uphill task going to the match as they will once again play in front of passionate home fans who are still reeling in pain for their FA Cup final defeat to city rivals Plateau United on Saturday.
Kogi United on the other hand will hope to build on their near perfect performance that earned them the state FA Cup triumph over FC Lokoja last weekend.
While having in mind the tough task expected from the game in Jos, Kogi United goalkeeper, Ogundare Detan believed his side were fired up to give it all and get the needed result.
“It’s going to be difficult,” said Detan. “We’re under no illusions about that.
“Mighty Jets are under pressure to get over the line, so do we but I think they will be more under pressure at home.
“People won’t expect us to win, but we are ready to proved them wrong, we believe in ourselves and what we can do on a good day, we will hope to take positives and motivation from the FA Cup final.
“If we play like we did on Saturday (in the FA Cup final) we have every chance of getting the result we need. On any given day you can beat anyone in this league.”
