ICDA made the call after deliberation at her meeting at Virgin Garden Hotel in Ajaka.
The National Executive Council of ICDA decried the continual marginalization of her communities in the sharing of political positions of the local and state governments.
The council observed that the region currently has no outstanding political representation at both the State and local government administrative levels. Instance was given of the fact that the current local government Administrator, House of Assembly Member, Special Adviser to the Governor, Permanent Secretary are all from the Odolu zone of the local council.
In a communique signed by Inah Husseni Isaac and Abel Kadiri, National President and Secretary respectively, ICDA lamented that Igalamela communities have been excluded from sharing of political offices for too long.
They noted that the current state lawmaker, local government head and top appointees of state government are all from Odolu/Akpanya axis of the local government. They stressed that the trend has been on for eight years.
The ICDA council resolved to call on all political parties in the area to give Igalamela community members ticket to run on their platforms for the forthcoming House of Assembly election or be prepared to forfeit their collective support or risk protest vote.
ICDA vowed to mobilise her people to resist subjugation, embarrassing marginalization, lack of development and empowerment.
