Patron of Ododo Independent Campaign Group (OICG), Mr Gbemi Adejola has congratulated Alhaji Usman Ododo on his victory at the Federal High Court.
The Federal High Court had on Wednesday dismissed a suit filed by Senator Smart Adeyemi seeking to nullify the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election that produced Ododo as the party’s candidate for the November 11 governorship election in Kogi state.
The court affirmed Ododo as the candidate of APC.
Reacting to the development, Gbemi described the court ruling as a victory for democracy and APC family.
“On behalf of the executives and ward coordinators of Ododo Independent Campaign Group, Yagba Federal Constituency, I congratulate Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and his running mate, on their landmark victory at the Federal High Court.
“I also congratulate members, leaders and teeming supporters of our great party, the All Progressives Congress on this landmark victory.
“Today’s judgement of the Federal High Court has finally laid to rest all disputes and controversies surrounding the Kogi governorship candidate and validated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s victory in the exercise. This is indeed a victory for democracy, APC and the good people of Kogi state,” he said.
