The Minister of Work, Mike Onolememhe, has said that work on the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin road would commence this week to ease the suffering of passengers and motorists.

Onolememhe disclosed this yesterday in Okene in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State,  during the distribution of empowerment tools to about 1,207 youths and women of the central senatorial district by Senator Nurudeen Abatemi Usman. He assured that the road would be completed within three months.

Also speaking, Senator David Mark urged Nigerians to embrace peace, saying without peace the nation cannot develop.

Earlier, Governor Idris Wada said Senator Abatemi’s empowerment programme was in line with his policy to teach the people how to fish so that they can fish for themselves and their families.

Senator Usman, on his part, said:” the empowerment was in fulfilment of my campaign promises to build a better future for my people, to uplift the poor, empower underprivileged and create jobs and wealth for my district”.
