Mr Oluwafemi Iselaiye, an aspirant to the House of Representatives in Yagba Federal Constituency in the 2019 election has sent his condolences to the people of Isanlu and the Traditional Council of Yagba East Local Government following the death of the Agbana of Isanlu, Oba Aaron Adi Ikuborije.
Oba Ikuborije, until his death on Wednesday, was Chairman of Yagba East Traditional Council.
In the condolence, personally signed by Iselaiye, he said: “My heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the people of Isanlu and the Yagba East Traditional Council on the transition of our most revered Agbana of Isanlu, Oba A A Ikuborije.
“His Royal Majesty, Oba Ikuborije was truly remarkable and had, throughout his long reign, worked tirelessly for the people of Isanlu and showed deep and far-reaching leadership as chairman of Yagba East Traditional Council.”
“History will remember His Majesty Oba Ikuborije as a great monarch, and a unifying force deeply loved and respected by the Isanlu and Yagba East people and the rest of Yagbaland.”
“He was an outstanding monarch who dedicated his life to improving the welfare of his people in Isanlu, Yagba East and developing Kogi State.”
“Throughout his peaceful reign, His Majesty had profound compassion for his people, and ceaselessly dedicated himself to improving their well-being.
Iselaiye who is the founder of Oluwafemi Iselaiye Foundation (OIF), a non-profit and philanthropy organization targeting the less endowed in Yagbaland, recalled that “The few privileged occasions the OIF team visited Oba Ikuborije had been rewarding. For me, personally as an Isanlu-born aspirant, going into the 2019 elections, his wise counsel will be greatly missed. But God knows better.
