Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Youth and Student Matters, Comrade Oladele John Nihi, has warned perpetrators of repeated attacks on student communities in Felele and Crusher to desist from engaging in crimes.

Nihi made this known when he met with student delegations from the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) and the Association of Nigeria Female Students (ANFS) to address the recent incessant attacks on students in Felele, Lokoja, by thugs and cultists.

He insisted that “Kogi State is no place for cultism and thuggery.”

“His Excellency Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has vehemently condemned these attacks and in response, has directed the formation of a committee comprising relevant authorities and security personnel to thoroughly investigate, swiftly identify those responsible and put an immediate end to these distressing incidents.

“To those behind these acts of terror, I urge an immediate cessation and retreat. Be warned that there will be no leniency for anyone caught.

“And to our dear students, you are not alone. The governor is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of every student in Kogi State. Rest assured that we will utilize all necessary resources to apprehend the perpetrators, ensure they face the full extent of the law, and guarantee your continued safety.”
