The Fancy Media Team (FMT), a network of media volunteers promoting the policies and programmes of the Kogi State Government, has declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to continue in office beyond 2027.
The endorsement came at the close of a two-day Media Engagement and Capacity Building Workshop organized by the group in Lokoja. The event drew participants from across the state, including Public Affairs Analysts, representatives of government, civil society groups, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Kogi State chapter, among others.
In a unanimous decision, the group passed a vote of confidence in President Tinubu, commending his “people-centered leadership, bold economic reforms, and infrastructure drive” across the country.
The group also praised Governor Ododo’s administration for its achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, and youth empowerment. It particularly praised the governor’s proactive approach to security and peacebuilding, which, it said, has stabilized communities across the state.

Leader of the Fancy Media Team, Sanni Abubakar Suleiman, in his address described the workshop as “a defining moment” for the group and a platform to deepen its commitment to the vision of the Ododo administration.
“The Fancy Media Team was born out of conviction, not convenience,” Suleiman said. “We believed in Governor Ododo’s leadership long before many others did. Our mission has always been to promote his vision of hope, unity, and progress for Kogi State.”
He credited the group’s financier, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege (popularly known as Fancy), for his support and mentorship. “He believed in us when others overlooked us, financed us when others doubted our relevance, and inspired us when we felt weary,” Suleiman added, describing him as “a humanitarian and visionary leader.”
Suleiman also appealed to Governor Ododo to support the team in its ongoing efforts to project government activities and train young people in digital communication.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Siyaka Yakubu Adabenege commended the team for its consistency and professionalism, noting that FMT has become “a household name in Kogi and beyond” due to its innovative media engagement.
He reaffirmed his commitment to youth development and praised Governor Ododo’s inclusive governance style, emphasizing that “youth empowerment remains at the heart of the administration’s agenda.”
Adabenege said the team, which started as a volunteer network, has now grown into a registered organization with national visibility. He expressed confidence that the workshop would “further sharpen their skills in marketing the administration’s achievements.”
The two-day event featured keynote addresses by public affairs analyst Mr. Majeed Dahiru, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Hon. Ismaila Isah followed by interactive sessions.
Highlights included the unveiling of FMT’s maiden magazine and the presentation of certificates to participants.
