The lawmaker representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of Atama Onu-Ife by the Onu-Ife and Chairman, Omala Traditional Council, HRH, Chief Boniface Musa.
The colourful ceremony took place at the palace of the Onu-Ife in Abejukolo, headquarters of Omala local government area.
The lawmaker was honoured for his contributions to the passage of essential bills, zero incitement of violence in his hitherto violent constituency, massive educational support schemes, trade and investment empowerment and extraordinary track record of diligence, honesty and professionalism.
The ceremony was attended by several royal fathers, House of Assembly members, serving commissioners and local government chairmen including the Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Joseph Baron Okwoli and Hon. James Omachonu Onoja.
The lawmaker described the event as one of the greatest moments of his life.
“It is a proud moment for me, my family and the entire Igalamela/Odolu Constituency” he stated.
Chief Atabor also expressed his readiness to intensify his commitment to the growth of Kogi state.
