Political office holders, party officials, youths and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed satisfaction with the appointment of the immediate past Administrator of Igalamela-Odolu local government area, Hon. Joseph Baron Okwoli as Chairman of Governor Yahaya Bello’s reelection campaign organisation for the local government.
In his reaction, the member representing Igalamela-Odolu Constituency in the House of Assembly, Hon. (Bar) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor described the appointment of Baron Okwoli as “a round peg in a round hole. He is a household name and his antecedents speak volumes”.
He also described Baron Okwoli as a “highly resourceful individual with limitless potentials. Adding that” he will make invaluable contributions to the success of the Bello/Onoja campaign in Igalamela-Odolu local government area”.
Hon. Joseph Baron Okwoli succeeded Alhaji Zakito Umar as chief executive of the local government. His reign recorded (among others) the building of an ultra-modern secretariat and the standardisation of Igalamela-Odolu Hotel. He was succeeded by Hon. Patrick Onogu who currently occupies the office.
