The political scientist, business mogul and first class philanthropist whose name rings bell across the confluence state said his decision to join force with Bello ahead of the 2019 elections was because of the laudable achievements of the Governor in the area of security, infrastructure and other key sectors of governance.
While making his declaration in Lokoja on Wednesday on a courtesy visit to the governor in Government House, Hon. Haruna said he was utterly happy with Governor Bello and could not do anything less than to ensure his return in 2019 to consolidate on his achievements particularly on security, stressing that without security, there will be no peace in any society and that there will be no business.
“Your Excellency, I am a businessman. Without peace nobody does business. You have restored permanent peace to Kogi State. You have also done so much in the areas of governance and I have decided to join you and to contribute to the development of our dear State,” he said.
In his remarks, Governor Bello said his doors are opened to all citizens and those who want to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.
Those present at Hon Gowon’s meeting with the Governor were the Deputy Governor, Elder Simon; Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor Edward Onoja; Commissioner for rural Development, Hon Enema Paul; Assembly member representing Dekina/Biraidu, Hon Ododo Moses; APC Zonal Chairman Kogi East, Hon Ahmedi Attah; Assembly member representing Ankpa 1, Hon Ahmed Mohammed; former Assembly members representing  Ankpa and Olamaboro constituencies, Hon Halims Abdullahi and Gabriel Olofu respectively, Special Adviser to Kogi Governor on multilateral and donor agencies, Hon Adoga Ibrahim and other political stalwarts from the state.
