Political thuggery stands as a grave concern, menacing democracy and the well-being of our societies. It encompasses the use of violence, intimidation, and coercion by individuals or groups to attain political goals or cling to power.

This menace erodes democratic principles, suppresses freedom of expression, and fosters an atmosphere of fear and insecurity.

No community can prosper without peace and unity. It is imperative that we implore our politicians to cease empowering thugs with weaponry, thereby oppressing and intimidating opposition or supporters of any party.

As our elders wisely caution, “what goes around comes around,” and the harm inflicted today may return in the future. This generation yearns for a leader with a strong voice and the determination to execute comprehensive programs that alleviate poverty and quell insecurity, fostering an environment conducive to investor confidence and national capital growth.

Recently, a persistent thought has occupied my mind: many politicians invest more in thuggery than in their expected service to the common masses. This is often due to their ill-gotten gains and their awareness of their lack of popularity to secure victory.

Consequently, I have reached the conclusion that the very thugs armed during elections might ultimately imperil our country’s progress, transforming into armed robbers when their demands go unmet by the same system that exploited them.

It is high time to put an end to thuggery and redirect our focus towards winning the hearts of the masses who yearn for a savior to wipe away their tears. Every individual deserves peace and the freedom to make their choices.

Regrettably, politics has devolved into a life-or-death struggle for selfish politicians intent on safeguarding their personal interests.
