The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Abubakar Bashir Mohammed Gegu, has restated his unwavering support for traditional rulers across the state.
This commitment was clearly demonstrated on Monday, as he presented a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Jeep to the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Muhammad Maikarfi IV (Bagadodzi), at the Maigari’s palace in Lokoja.
While making the presentation, Engr. Bashir Gegu lauded the Maigari for his relentless efforts in fostering peace, unity, and development in Lokoja and its environs.
He described the traditional ruler as a pillar of stability and progress, whose leadership continues to leave a positive mark on the lives of the people.
The Commissioner prayed for Allah’s continued protection over the royal father and asked for divine wisdom and strength to guide him in his duties.
In his remarks, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Muhammad Maikarfi IV expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generous and unexpected gift.
He offered special prayers for Engr. Bashir Gegu, asking Allah to strengthen him, guide his steps, and fulfill his aspirations throughout his political journey.
