Emma Egwu Buries Legislative Aide

The funeral of the Senior Legislative Aide of the member representing Idah Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Ali Ben Omale Adegede was held on Friday amidst tears and sorrow in Idah.
The ceremony which was attended by family, friends, colleagues, and sympathizers from all works of life brought Idah to a stand still.
Addressing the crowd during the funeral service held at Christian Life Fellowship Church, Idah, Hon. Emmanuel Egwu described the demise of Mr Ali as a great loss to the family, himself and the entire Idah Federal Constituency.
A visibly saddened Emmanuel Egwu, after leading the congregation on a sorrowful hymn, stated that he was ‘in pain and shock’.
He described Mr Ali as a brother, friend, confidant, and classmate.
“Ali invested in me. After we won in 2015, I found no one more suitable to be my Senior Legislative Aide other than Ali. He was principled. I relied on his judgment. He contributed significantly to the success we have recorded so far in Idah Federal Constituency. He was humble. He never gave me any impression that he was older than me. He will be terribly missed,” he said.
Hon Egwu pledged to continue to support the family of the diseased in what he described as the most difficult time in their lives.
Similarly, the immediate past Chairman of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, Comrade Zakito Umar described death as an inevitable and necessary end for every living soul.
“No matter the age, death is always painful. Mr Ali was a man without pride, honest and generous. He was a bridge builder and will be missed by all,” he said.
Comrade Zakito thanked Hon Egwu for ensuring Mr Ali was given a befitting burial and prayed that God will grant his soul a peaceful repose and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Mr Ben Ali Omale Agedege died on 22nd September, 2017 in Abuja.
