Former speaker of the kogi state house of Assembly and Acting governor, Asiwaju Clarence Olatunde Olafemi has called on the federal government to scrapped the national human right commission to prevent the body from causing more damages to the already battered image of Nigeria politicians .
He accused the body of partisan politics employed to tarnish the image and reputation of notable Nigerian politicians to satisfy their own selfish political ambitions.
“The national human right commission should be scrapped to stop the body from damaging the personality of the people of the country and their recognition should be withheld to stop further embarrassing innocent and hard working Nigerian leaders”, he said.
The Asiwaju of Okunland queried the sources of the allegation of election offenses slammed against his person and made such report public instead of trying to run him and some eminent Nigerians down with their “fake” report.
“I have never been arrested and detained in my life for any political reason whatsoever in my life before and I have even never been invited by any security agents for whatever reason in my entire political career before now. Then where did they get their own report from”, he queried.
He observed that the report is the handiwork of some political jobbers that are desperate to destroy the political career he has built over two decades in Nigeria.
“I am a politician with class that is why my people like me and they attest to my good personality, the national human right commission should investigate all cases very well before they make public unfounded allegation without due confirmation. This is a disgrace to nationhood”, he said.
He frowned at the allegation of election offense slammed against him and some Nigerians describing it as illegitimate and deliberate attempt by those he tagged as political enemies to destroy his good name and reputation in the state.
He enjoined all his followers and loyalists to shun the report saying “it is baseless and unfounded”.
