The highlight of the event was the Akinrin Inter-School Debate Competition grand finale, which saw Government Special Science Secondary School emerge as the winner and Emmanuel International School as the runner-up.

The debate competition, which featured selected schools from Kabba Bunu and Ijumu, was a testament to the community’s commitment to promoting education and intellectual discourse. Each student participant in the final received a computer tablet, medal, and a trophy was awarded to the winning school.

In a generous gesture, the Akinrin of Ekinrin, HRM Oba Johnson Kolade Otitoju Egbo lona 1, awarded scholarships to all participants to support their education throughout secondary school. The winner, Government Special Science Secondary School, received a cash prize of 150,000 naira, while the runner-up, Emmanuel International School, received 100,000 naira.
