In a momentous development that’s sending ripples of joy through the Okun land community, Ekinrin-Adde Community Radio, affectionately known as Akogba FM, has secured the nod of approval from the Nigeria Broadcasting Commission (NBC) for full operational takeoff.
The news broke early this morning when Mrs. Victoria Tsado, the Kogi State Officer of NBC, personally telephoned Pastor Stanley Ajileye, the Managing Director of Akogba FM, conveying the commission’s approval. Mrs. Tsado invited Pastor Ajileye to collect the official approval letter at the NBC’s Kogi State office, marking a significant milestone for the community-driven radio station.
Reacting to the landmark approval, Pastor Ajileye effusively gave all glory to God, proclaiming Ekinrin-Adde as truly the first licensed radio station in Okun land – a testament to divine favor and community dedication. “We return all glory to God for making this happen,” he said, extending heartfelt appreciation to everyone who played a role in this remarkable achievement.
Pastor Ajileye extended warm congratulations to the Olu Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, Olu Anthony Bamigbaiye Idowu, CON, and the entire Ekinrin-Adde Traditional Council, lauding their collaborative spirit and unwavering support for Akogba FM.
