Ejule Community was agog on the second day of Eid-Kabir as they celebrated two of their prominent sons and known philanthropist who got God’s elevation into different positions in their chosen careers.

On the 12th of August, 2019 would continue to be a day that will never go into oblivion in the minds of every well meaning persons from Ejule Community; it was a day of total reunification; a day that Ejule unity was cemented. All thanks to Ejule forum.

Organizing reception for our sons and daughters who have been elevated and distinguished themselves in their chosen careers has become part and parcel of Ejule Forum in our quest to motivate and encourage them towards their continued positive contributions to our community.

It is on records, the tradition of celebrating our own started during the former leadership of Ejule Forum led by the then President, Pharmacist Adams Yusuf when reception was organized for Honourable Sadiq Abubakar who was the then Hon. Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs in the State.

Today, we are here basking in the euphoria of the just concluded reception for Navy Commodore Godwin Obaje, who was recently elevated to that exalted rank and Hon. David Idris Zacharias, who got elected into the Federal House of Representatives to represent the good people of Idah, Igalamela, Ibaji  and Ofu Federal Constituency.  What a way!

Navy Commodore Godwin Obaje is a household name as far as Ejule Community and environs are concerned. In fact, he is known and celebrated by many people from local governments beyond his own immediate community and across the state.

Not a politician, Commodore Obaje’s altruistic contributions has earned him several prestigious awards. His simple life style amongst his kith and kin is second to none; his down to earth humility is one of his attributes that has made him so dear to the heart of commoners.

The second celebrant, Hon. David Idris Zacharias just like his elder brother, Navy Commodore Godwin Obaje. Hon. David Zacharias shared almost the same qualities and attributes, except that he is a seasoned politician.

Hon. David Zacharias who was fondly called Sente, which later transformed to CELTEL is now being nicknamed by his admirers as “DAVIDO”. He is a known philanthropist whose philanthropy cut across all facets of life in the society.

Before joining politics, Hon. Davido was the only known Igala son not in government but rendering assistance to the less privileged people in our land through his Foundation. His ability to read the face of a person in need is legendary. No wonder, some people referred to him in our local palace as “ajebuweneje” which means “he ate and give others to eat”. Furthermore, I decided to summarized the attributes and contributions of these our two worthy sons to avoid a lengthy script.

In view of the foregoing, contributing to the progress and development of our community is always worthwhile.

Finally, it is pertinent to acknowledge and appreciate Ejule Forum under the tutelage of our respected President, Farouk Freedom Achimugu and every other members that contributed to the success of the occasion, no doubt, that epoch making reception has once again brought honour to Ejule Community.
