Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his goodwill message signed by the Director, Yahaya Bello Media Office, Ohiare Michael, the former governor congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and around the world for the discipline, sacrifice, and devotion demonstrated during the fasting period.
He said, “Ramadan is a sacred season that teaches patience, compassion, and self-restraint. I urge the faithful to sustain these noble virtues even beyond the holy month.”

Bello emphasized that the lessons of Ramadan should inspire Muslims and Nigerians at large to promote peace, unity, and tolerance in their communities.
According to him, “The spirit of Eid-ul-Fitr reminds us of the importance of love, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence, regardless of ethnic, religious, or political differences.”
He called on Nigerians to continue praying for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the nation.
He added, “Our national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and understanding. I therefore encourage all citizens to remain committed to peaceful coexistence and collective progress.”
The former governor also urged citizens to remember the less privileged during the festive period.
He noted, “Extending kindness and support to the less privileged reflects the true teachings and values of Islam.”
He wished the Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration, praying that Almighty Allah accepts their prayers, fasting, and acts of charity.
