Eid Mubarak: Forum of Former Gov Bello’s Appointees Felicitate With Gov Ododo, FGYB, Muslim Ummah

The Forum of Former Political Appointees under the administration of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has extended warm felicitations to Governor Usman Ododo, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid el Fitr celebration.

In a statement issued in Lokoja on Sunday, the Forum’s interim Chairman, Hon. Isah Onimisi Babangida praised the peaceful transition of power and the continuity of developmental projects across the state.

“We congratulate His Excellency, Governor Usman Ododo, our mentor and leader, former Governor Yahaya Bello, and all Muslims in Kogi State as they celebrate Eid el Fitr. This period of spiritual reflection calls for renewed commitment to the advancement of our dear state,” the statement read.

The Forum highlighted the significant achievements of former Governor Bello’s administration, including infrastructure development, educational reforms, healthcare improvements, and enhanced security measures that transformed Kogi State during his tenure.

“Under former Governor Bello’s visionary leadership, Kogi witnessed unprecedented growth with the construction of modern roads, bridges, schools, and healthcare facilities. His administration also prioritized youth empowerment, women inclusion in governance, and religious harmony,” the statement continued.

The Forum commended Governor Ododo for his commitment to consolidating these achievements since assuming office, noting his dedication to completing ongoing projects and initiating new ones aimed at further improving the lives of Kogi residents.

“We are delighted that Governor Ododo has demonstrated remarkable commitment to building upon the solid foundation laid by his predecessor. His inclusive governance approach and focus on rural development are commendable,” the Chairman added.

The Forum prayed for divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for both Governor Ododo and former Governor Bello as they continue to contribute to the development of Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

“May Allah grant our leaders the wisdom to navigate challenges and the strength to fulfill their mandates. We pray for peace, unity, and prosperity in Kogi State during this blessed season and beyond,” the statement concluded.
