Muslims have been implored to pray for peace, unity and socio-economic transformation of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
The lawmaker representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Enefola Major made the plea in his Eid-el Maulud message to Muslim faithful in his constituency.
He stated that “I wish to heartily congratulate all my Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the celebration of this year’s Eid el Kabir.
“We thank Almighty Allah for the opportunity granted to us to be counted among the living as we celebrate.
“This celebration provides us the unique opportunity to extend hands of fellowship and build trust amongst fellow humans.
“In order to realize this, we require peace, unity, stability and ethno-religious tolerance.”
“I remain committed to ensuring that my constituents receive the best possible representation in the 8th Kogi State House of Assembly.
“We pray for the grace to witness more joyous days in the future. Happy celebration.”
