The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole has congratulated Muslim faithfuls in Kogi State and Nigeria on the celebration of Eid El Kabir.
The Speaker admonished them to use the occasion to pray for more wisdom, knowledge and understanding for the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Yahaya Bello at the national and state levels respectively.
He said the time to be closer to God is now as a nation, noting that it has come to the point where every hand must be on deck for the development of the country irrespective of religion beliefs.
He urged Muslim faithfuls to continue to pray for the peace, growth and development of the country and Kogi State in particular under the leadership of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Rt. Hon. Kolawole charged politicians not to heat up the polity, rather they should play by the rules of the game as the nation move close to the general elections, praying that Nigeria will have a peaceful electioneering year in 2019.
