The Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District and Chairman, Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology/Cybercrime, Senator Yakubu Oseni has on the occasion of this year’s eid-el-kabir celebration called on his constituents and Nigerians to deepen their virtues of love and sacrifice for another.
The lawmaker has in a message noted that Islam is a religion that thrives on love, unity and sacrifice which are inherent traits that Nigerians need for the building of peaceful and prosperous nation.
Senator Oseni further emphasized the need for Muslim ummahs to renew their commitment on the basic tenets of Islam which requires love, peace, tolerance and moral discipline for both personal and national development.
He expressed optimism that with unwavering patriotism and sincere commitment of all Nigerians, the country will stand strong amongst comity of nations despite seeming insurmountable challenges which presently threaten the nation’s chord of unity.
The lawmaker subsequently commended his constituents and the entire people of Kogi State for their continued support and prayers for the administration of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, just as he urged them to align with the Governor’s quest to move the nation to greater height in the nearest future.
