Senator representing Kogi Central senatorial district, Ahmed Ogembe has advised Muslims to show love and imbibe the spirit of selflessness and sacrifice as thought by Prophet Ibrahim.
Ogembe made this in a statement signed by him and made available to newsmen in Abuja on Friday.
He enjoined the Muslims to increase their charitable manners and imbibe on the lessons of sacrifice, selflessness as exemplified by the prophet who chose to offer his only son to Allah.
Senator Ogembe said this season is not only for celebration and enjoyment but also a time of total reflection and dedication of our life to God.
He implore Muslims to seek Allah’s grace for the security, unity and economic development of the country because it faces various challenges of development.
“Let’s join hands to pray for the growth of our economy as building the Nigerian of our dream requires joining hands together,” the senator said.
He commended his people for upholding harmonious relationship despite religious differences and urged them to sustain the gesture as we cannot get anywhere if peace is outweighed by violence.
Ogembe wished the Muslim faithful a blessed and peaceful Eid el-Kabir and congratulated the pilgrims for the God given opportunity to perform this year hajj.
