Eid el Kabir: Rep Halims Greet Muslims at Sallah, Says Season a Time for Reflection on Obedience, Sacrifice

The Deputy Majority Leader of the House of Representatives and member representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has greeted Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Kabir celebration.

The Deputy House Leader, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru Adejoh called on Muslim faithfuls to use the opportunity of the Eid and reflect on the essence of the celebration which is obedience and sacrifice.

According to Rep. Halims, the significance of obedience cannot be over emphasized and without sacrifice, no society can experience any meaningful development, peace and harmonious coexistence.

He therefore used the opportunity of the Eid felicitation to call on both Muslims and non Muslims alike to develop the spirit of sacrifice in their daily lives noting that foregoing personal wills for societal progress is the pathway to a more prosperous society.

He further congratulated the good people of Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State in particular for witnessing this year’s Eid celebration and urged them to be resolute about good times in offing amidst the current economic hardship bedeviling the country stressing there is always ease after every hardship.

He, however, urged those who are buoyant enough to extend hands of fellowship to their neighbours in this season and beyond as he reiterated his commitment towards ensuring that he uses his good office to attract maximum dividends of democracy to the people.
