Member Representing Ankpa II State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu has urged Kogites to use the occasion of the Muslim Eid-El-Kabir Celebration to make more sacrifices that would take the State to greater heights as the campaign for the November State governorship election draws close.
Rabiu said the celebration is a period of divine obedience; and so admonished Kogites to be ready to make sacrifices that will improve the State assembly well as its citizens.
The honorable noted that the problem of the State is not that of the government alone but of all Kogites, and charged the people to follow the essence of “Eid El Kabir” by making personal sacrifices for the good of the all.
To this end, He urged appealed to Kogites irrespective of ethnic and religious differences to join hands with the government in the effort of making the State great for all.
The high ranking honorable member further said as a State, if the people could work together in unity and harmony, it will surely get to the peak that shall be desirous to all in committee of States.
The honorable member said it is high time the people of Kogi State begins to consider themselves as one in the same way millions of Muslim faithful of different tongue and race who converged at Mecca to perform Hajj – in fulfillment of a key injunction of their faith shows.
His words: “as people, we must make our own sacrifice of considering ourselves same and equal” adding that if all of us could make sacrifices, then it is obvious that the State will be greater than it is.
While rounding up, he specially congratulated the good people of Ojoku and Enjema districts of Ankpa local government area of the State which he represents wishing them more fruitful years ahead.
