The Organizing Secretary (East) National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State chapter who doubles as the constitutional Zonal Secretary of Kogi East Zone, Comrade Abdullahi Ismaila Iko-Ojo has called on youths to celebrate this year’s Eid-el Kabir moderately.
The youth leader, in his sallah message on Friday, urged youths to celebrate without rancor emanating from stupor during and after this festive period as the future of the nation and state in particular rests on their shoulders.
“As such we can, we must act with all sense of responsibility and humility.
“The celebration of the Eid-el Kabir is a celebration of sacrifice done by our great Prophet Ibrahim (ASWS) it connotes a great act needed to be emulated by our world today.
“I am calling on all the youth of Nigeria, most especially the youths of Kogi state, to learn to sacrifice for the growth of nation at large and our state in particular.
“I pray that lasting peace and success be recorded in the fight against the deadly kidnappers terrorizing our highways believing that God shall continue to grant our leaders most especially the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello and His Deputy Chief Edward Onoja, cabinet members, security operatives in the state and all stakeholders in the fight against insecurity the wisdom to conquer with ease,” he said.
