Eid-el-Kabir: Lawi Urges Kogites to Jettison Their Differences and Push for Unity

The member representing Okene l state constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed, felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of the Eid- el- Kabir, urging them to continue to uphold the lessons of unity, love, loyalty and sacrifice which are the hallmark of this festival.
Hon. Lawi in his goodwill message signed by his Media Aide, Comr. Danfulani Lukman said the Eid el-Kabir festival also offers another opportunity for sober reflection, soul searching and spiritual renewal which Allah demands from the faithful.
He advised that the lessons of sacrifice and loyalty, which Eid-el-Kabir teaches should not be lost to the pomp and ceremony that accompany the festival.
The Lawmaker urged Nigerians to continue to pray and work for peace and unity in the country. He advised the Muslim faithfuls and adherents of other faiths to always demonstrate love and understanding towards one another  in the quest for a greater and more prosperous Nigeria.
“We can collectively confront our challenges as a nation and build a truly peaceful and prosperous Nigeria by acknowledging the supremacy of  God, demonstrating genuine love and respect for one another and commitment to peaceful living”, Lawi added.
Lawi urged Muslims, especially Nigerians pilgrims in Mecca, to pray for the success of the 2019 general elections.
He also called on Muslims to ask for Allah’s infinite mercy and guidance for the state and its leaders as they steered the affairs of the state.
He further reassured the people of the state of the commitment of the legislature to the onerous task of moving the state to greater heights.
