A former member of the House of Representatives (Okeni/Ogori Magongo) and current Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Hon Abdulazeez Idris King, has admonished the Muslim Ummah to imbibe the spirits of godliness, charity, sacrifice, and spiritual intercession for the nation at all times.
In a goodwill message on the occasion of Eid-El-Kabir, the former lawmaker called for more prayers for the state and Governor Yahaya Bello.
Hon Idris King charged the people of Kogi State to always promote acts that enhance national integration and brotherhood.
He said Eid-el-Kabir honors the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son to show submission to Allah’s command, urging Muslims to extend the noble virtues of purity, perseverance, philanthropy, respect, and love for one another.
Hon Idris King assured Kogi people of Governor Yahaya Bello’s determination to make the State a model for good governance, security of lives and property, and economic prosperity, saying the State has witnessed revolutionary changes in its critical sectors with legacy projects dotting the Kogi Landscape in the last 6 years.
The Federal Commissioner called for increased prayers for an end to the recurring security challenges in the country, tasking Muslims and adherents of other faiths to always demonstrate love and understanding towards one another in the quest for a greater and more prosperous Kogi State and Nigeria.
