Hon. Shaba Ibrahim, House of Representatives member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency has felicitated with the people of the constituency on the occasion of Eid El-Fitr.
In a Sallah message issued on Sunday, the lawmaker called on Muslims to adhere to safety guidelines in the face of the covid-19 scourge.
“I thank Allah for the grace and strength to observe this year’s fast in spite of the numerous challenges, especially the pandemic and the lockdown effect.
“I urge all constituents to join me in using this Sallah to pray to Allah to accept our Ramadan prayers. Let us pray that Almighty Allah brings us succour, considering how long we have been on lockdown, even as the Government plans to re-open the economy soon.”
Furthermore, the House of Representatives member charged the entire people of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency to never forget the laid down guidelines of keeping safe as they go about their daily activities, while urging Muslim faithfuls to adhere strictly to the social distancing guideline as they celebrate the Sallah festival.
He prayed Almighty Allah to keep every single constituent and Muslim faithful alive, in good health and in abundance till the next Ramadan and Eid El-Fitr.
