Eid-el Fitr: Idah LG Chairman Calls for Unity, Peace

The Caretaker Chairman Idah Local Government, Hon Amade Egwuda Ochijenu, has commended Governor Usman Ododo for his undoubted love for the various religious groups in Kogi state.

In his message to Muslim ummah on Eid-el fitr celebrations in Idah on Thursday, Hon Amade rejoiced with the people on the completion of this year’s Ramadan fast, and urged them to sustain the piety, love and compassion of the holy month.

He appealed to the people in the state to join hands with the administration of Governor Usman Ododo to move the state to a place of pride and fulfillment for all.

Hon Amade enjoined the good people of the state to pursue the unity, peace and development of the state under Governor Usman Ododo so as to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

He called on people of all faiths in the state to maintain religious harmony in their communities and urged Muslim to be faithful to teaching of Prophet Muhammad.

He advised youths in Idah local government to shun all social vices that are inimical to the peace and development of the area, warning that the current administration in the state will not condone any cat that poses threat to the security of the state.
